PalmFocus Palmcast - August 24, 2005 Tue Aug 30, 2005 1:31 pm
This palmcast is 5 minutes and 21 seconds long. I discuss a press conference I attended during the PalmSource Developers Conference in May of this year. Ed Colligan lets us know if Palm means Palm OS in the future.

Listen to the PalmFocus Palmcast - August 24, 2005

Side Note: This is referred to as a palmcast on purpose. There are several reasons for this. First, we are talking about Palm devices. Right? Secondly, I am creating the palmcasts on a Palm device. Right now, it is a Palm LifeDrive. In the future, it may be my Treo 650. It all depends on how the LifeDrive works out. Then, last but not least, I listen to MP3 files on my Palm device. I do not even own or need an iPod. I do everything I need on my Palm device.

This palmcast is a whopping 2 minutes and 21 seconds long. I know it is not much, but I just wanted to get the word out that more palmcasts will be coming. More than anything, I wanted to say "hello" and "thank you" to all the vistors of PalmFocus.

PalmFocus Software Store Improvements Tue Aug 30, 2005 1:20 pm
We have added a new feature to the PalmFocus Software Store. It is called My Account. This gives you the ability to view and redownload the software you have purchased. In addition, it gives you a list of the trial versions of software you have tried recently. To make things as secure as possible for our customers, we do not store any credit card information on our servers.

If you have purchased software from our store, you can access your account by simply using your email address and password that you used to make your purchase. In addition, I would like to thank you for supporting PalmFocus through your purchases at our software store. We want to provide the best shopping experience possible, and I think new features like My Account prove our commitment to you, the customer.

Not only have we added the new account functionality, we have also upgraded our servers to provide you with the fastest and most reliable service possible. Again, thank you for support and patronage.

PalmFocus: Note from Loyal Visitor Tue Aug 30, 2005 1:18 pm
I am not posting this note to brag about this site because there are a lot of good sites out there, but I am posting this note to share my appreciation for those visitors that take the time to share their appreciation with me. Hopefully, there are other people out there that feel the same way, but I appreciate the people that take to the time to say, "Thanks!"

Anyway, here is a recent note that I received from a loyal PalmFocus visitor who recently received the first edition of our newsletter. Thank you!

I check palmfocus daily, even before your new site was created. It is of much info to palm/treo users like me. Thank you for even taking time to make the newsletter. We appreciate it. I really wanted to write you to thank you for your informative newsletter and website.
